Glaspriset award 2026

Glaspriset 2026 awards feature Saint‑Gobain Glass products

We are proud that all four finalist projects competing for Glaspriset 2026, one of Sweden’s most prestigious construction and architectural awards, organised by the Swedish Federation of Glazing Contractors (Glasbranschföreningen), feature Saint-Gobain Glass products.

The award recognises projects where glass plays a decisive role in architectural quality, functionality, innovation and sustainability, enhancing daylight, energy performance and overall comfort. Finalists and winners are selected by an independent jury, with an Audience Award decided by public vote.

Discover all the nominated projects and dive into their details and key stakeholders.

All four projects share the use of one or more coatings from the COOL‑LITE® XTREME range, the highest‑performance solar control range offering a selectivity above 2.0. This makes it possible to maximize natural light while providing strong solar protection for optimum user comfort.

🔷 Lumi, Uppsala

COOL-LITE® XTREME 70/33, COOL-LITE® XTREME 50/22 II

2 different COOL-LITE® XTREME are used on this project; COOL-LITE® XTREME 70/33 with higher light transmission is used on the façades with lower solar exposure, whereas COOL-LITE® XTREME 50/22 II the darker one is installed on the sides of the building with higher solar exposure, a thoughtful approach to optimising indoor comfort and energy savings!

🔷 Mälarterrassen, Stockholm

COOL-LITE® XTREME 70/33, COOL-LITE® XTREME 50/22 II, PLANITHERM® XN

This project also incorporates various products from Saint‑Gobain Glass: COOL-LITE® XTREME 70/33, COOL-LITE® XTREME 50/22 II, PLANITHERM® XN to deliver the ideal level of solar control, strategically tailored to both the glazing size and the building’s orientation to enhance energy efficiency and well-being.

🔷 Habitat 7, Gothenburg

COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29 on ORAÉ® low-carbon glass, COOL-LITE® XTREME 50/22 II

This project not only features products from the COOL‑LITE® XTREME range, COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29 & COOL-LITE® XTREME 50/22 II , helping reduce the operational carbon associated with building use, but is also the first major project in Europe with the low-carbon glass ORAÉ®, demonstrating the country’s commitment to progress and to a more sustainable future.

🔷 Lakehouse, Mölnlycke

COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29, COOL-LITE® SKN 183

The light and luminous lower façade, crafted with COOL-LITE® SKN 183, one the selective coating with the highest light transmission in Europe, delivers exceptional clarity, creating a seamless sense of openness. This transparency accentuates and visually elevates the upper façade, clad in the high performance COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29, giving the entire structure a refined, floating elegance.

In all these 4 projects, the intelligent use of coatings on different parts of the façade to optimise comfort and energy savings highlights the value of having a complementary product range, both in terms of performance and aesthetics.

This is further strengthened by the latest advancements in more aesthetically neutral coatings developed in recent years and now enhanced with the newest addition: COOL‑LITE® XTREME 51/23 (II); this product replacing COOL‑LITE® XTREME 50/22 II complete the COOL‑LITE® XTREME range with aligned neutral appearance, will offer future projects harmonious and aesthetically consistent façade solution.
