PLANITHERM® XN and PLANITHERM® XN II
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
It is made of a clear glass on which magnetron sputtering under vacuum deposits a thin silver based transparent coating. The coating reflects the far infrared radiation which prevents heat from escaping through your windows to the cold outdoors, bringing more energy efficiency than with old double glazing without low-e coating (before 2000’s).
Refer to ECLAZ® (II) for even more transparency, winter comfort and energy efficiency in residential and non-residential buildings equipped with windows.
BENEFITS & APPLICATIONS
PLANITHERM® XN (II), low-e coated glass, can be used in all insulating glass units, for new buildings or renovation works in residential or non-residential buildings equipped with windows.
PLANITHERM® XN II is available on demand with EASYPRO®, revolutionary and temporary surface protection developed and proposed exclusively by Saint-Gobain.
Deposited on to-be-tempered coated glass, it delivers effective protection against mechanical damage as well as ageing, during transport and processing, from deposition of the coating until tempering. During tempering, EASYPRO® simply burns off without leaving any residue inside or outside the furnace and without any negative impact on the environment or personal health and safety.
PLANITHERM® XN (II) is covered by a verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and is cradle to cradle bronze certified.
