HEALTH PRODUCT DECLARATIONS (HPDs)
An HPD, or Health Product Declaration, is a standardized report that details a product’s contents and associated health information, following the HPD Open Standard. The HPD methodology is based on the American method called Greenscreen, which is well-recognized in the US for its rigorous approach to chemical hazard assessment. This leading open standard is used for evaluating and reporting product chemistry in building materials, empowering manufacturers and building professionals to create safer, healthier, and more circular product selections.
HPDs can be used in various rating programs, including LEED v4.1 to meet the Material Ingredients Credit, and WELL v2 for Materials Transparency criteria.
At Saint-Gobain Glass, we have published 6 HPDs that can be downloaded, further supporting our commitment to transparency and sustainability.
