EASYPRO®

EASYPRO® is a revolutionary and unique temporary surface protection developed and offered exclusively by Saint-Gobain Glass. Deposited on to-be-tempered coated glass, it delivers effective protection against mechanical damage as well as ageing, during transport and processing, from deposition of the coating until tempering. 

During tempering, EASYPRO® simply burns off without leaving any residue inside or outside the furnace and without any negative impact on the environment or personal health and safety.

FOR THE EASE OF PROCESSING OF COATED GLASS

• PROTECT GLASS FROM SCRATCHES DURING TRANSPORT AND PROCESSING: EASYPRO® protects the coating so there is a reduced risk of surface scratches when transporting the glass on racks/trolleys. 
• INCREASE THE SHELF LIFE AND OFFER MORE FLEXIBILITY: 

o    EASYPRO® extends shelf life of coated glass up to 1 year.
o    The rest plates can now be stored for up to 12 months.
o    Cut sizes can be stored up to 2 weeks, which is a significant increase from the current time of 8 hours. 

• REDUCE THE WASTE DISPOSAL, SAVE TIME, AND INCREASE SAFETY: The packs are delivered unsealed, therefore eliminating time to unseal packs. This also reduces the risk of injury associated with this activity. Since there is no cover sheet, the need to physically remove a protective film before tempering is eliminated and no waste is generated.
• REDUCE THE HEATING TIME DURING THE TEMPERING PROCESS: There is a significant gain in productivity due to tempering cycle times being reduced between 8-20% (depending on tempering furnace manufacturer). 
• REDUCE THE REMAKE: Internal waste can be significantly improved, and quality issues can be reduced.

• reduce plastic packaging: Avoiding coversheet on jumbo glass means EASYPRO® improves the yield in the factory and reduces waste generation and disposal. 
• reduce the scraps and damages and thus the need to produce new glazing: During processing, EASYPRO® reduces remakes and the need to reproduce new glass.
• save energy by reducing the tempering furnaces temperatures: During the tempering process, EASYPRO® offers energy saving benefits by allowing reduced temperature levels in the furnace.
