PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This solar control glass provides the highest light transmission in the COOL-LITE® range as well as a truly neutral aesthetics.
BENEFITS & APPLICATIONS
• Daylight: offering the best of daylight with high light transmission of 75%, it fosters improved learning conditions for students in educational facilities, shortened convalescence for patients, or simply better well-being at home. It is the only product in COOL-LITE® range reaching above 70% in triple glazing unit (TGU), with DIAMANT® substrate and ECLAZ®LUMI low-e glass in face #5.
• Thermal comfort: it brings solar protection at all times and reinforced thermal insulation. Heating and air-conditioning systems can be reduced to a minimum.
• Neutral aesthetic: Extremely transparent and neutral with a low reflection, the glass façade appears discreet from the outdoors and floods the interiors with light for a bright atmosphere, revealing faithfully the environments’ colors.
• Versatility: COOL-LITE® SKN 183 II can be used on face #2 as well as #3 of an IGU (with different aesthetic and performances) or enameled using the 4BIRD®Frit designs. This versatility is offering new design and simpler configurations for efficient bird protection combined with good energetic performances.
COOL-LITE® SKN 183 (II) is ideal for all types of facades in commercial buildings and residential buildings, where high daylight income is requested, with no compromise on performances. In particular:

COOL-LITE® SKN 183 (II) is a good alternative and can be combined with an internal shading while keeping a good cost efficiency of the complete system.
COOL-LITE® SKN 183 (II) is also available on ORAÉ® low-carbon glass, to combine performance and sustainability and provide the best of both embodied and operational carbon levels.
This product is covered by a verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and is Cradle to Cradle Certified® V4.0 Bronze.

PROCESSING
- ANNEALED: The product is available in Annealed version.
- HEAT-TREATMENT: The product is available in To-be-tempered version (with suffix II); It is delivered in standard with EASYPRO® temporary surface protection. To achieve its performance and aesthetics, the product must be tempered. It is compatible with Heat Soak Test.
- EDGE DELETION: Edge deletion of the coating is compulsory prior to assembling.
- INSULATED GLAZING UNIT: The product must be assembled into an insulated glazing unit (IGU); The coating must be positioned on the face 2 (inside the IGU). COOL-LITE® SKN 183 II can be also used on face 3 of an DGU, (with different aesthetic and performances than face 2)-
- LAMINATION: The product can be laminated, taking care to place the coating outside of the laminate (coating on face 4 of the laminated pane). Consult us for the list of coating validated in contact with the interlayer.
- BENDING: The to-be-tempered version of the product (II) can be bent. Bending results depend on the process/technology used; trials should be done for validation.
- ENAMELING: No common approval for the enameling of silver-based high-performance coatings, exception done for some specific design for COOL-LITE® SKN 183 II.
- Annealed and the to-be-tempered versions of the product offer similar performances and aesthetic with a good compatibility in outdoor reflection. Contact us for more details.
