Description

With COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29 (II), projects will benefit from the latest innovation in high performance solar control coatings.
The introduction of COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29 and 61/29 II fit into the work already started several years ago by Saint-Gobain to offer world-class selectivity coating with outstanding aesthetic.

This new generation of triple silver coating meets the current architectural trends, which aim at extreme color neutrality, transparency and low reflection. Neutrality is “in”; compromises are “out”! The low external reflection as well as the color-neutral external appearance combined with extreme selectivity creates an excellent combination of function and aesthetics.

Delivering extreme selectivity (S > 2,1) the new COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29 (II) helps reducing energy costs by lowering the demand for artificial lighting, heating and air conditioning. Thanks high transparency and neutral aesthetic, combined with an excellent insulation of the interior and an extremely efficient sun protection all year round, COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29 (II) creates a bright, friendly atmosphere in the room.

Application

COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29 & COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29 II are ideal for all types of facades in commercial and residential projects, where a high solar protection is needed without compromise on the daylight income.

With a trully neutral appearance, lowered reflection and consistent color, they are ideally suited for fully glazed facades where energy efficiency, transparency and outstanding aesthetic are required. The reduced levels of indoor and outdoor reflection meet the latest market requests in terms of design, comfort, but also bird protection and allow a use in all types of projects to travel around the world.

The annealed and to-be-tempered versions are available to meet all security requirements.

 

Range

COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29 (II) is available on clear PLANICLEAR® or extra-clear DIAMANT® glass in several thickness (from 3mm to 12mm) and in standard size. It is also available, on demands in Overlength (up to 18m) or more tailor-made size (split length) for production or design optimization.

 

Processing

In order to achieve its performances and aesthetics,

COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29 (II) must be:

  • Tempered - compatible with Heat Soak Test (only applicable for COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29 II)
  •  Edge deleted prior to assembling
  • Assembled into an insulated glazing unit
  • Positioned on the face 2 (inside the IGU)

 

COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29 (II) can be laminated, taking care to place the coating outside of the laminate

 

For the ease of processing and good final quality, COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29 II is provided on standard with the unique temporary surface protection EASYPRO®.
