Description
The new Emergency Emergency Department (DEU) was born inside the hospital citadel of the Ospedali Riuniti of Foggia, an elegant complex inserted in the wider redevelopment of the hospital area aimed at modernizing and improving the city's public health offer.
The large building is characterized by different and fascinating colors that transmit liveliness and dynamism both to the external facades and to the internal spaces. The body-stairs at the center of the main facade, with its continuous windows protected by a metal sunshade structure, represents a strong architectural "sign" and helps to increase the strong visual relationship that binds the new building to the outside and the surrounding landscape.
The use of CLIMAPLUS® SECURIT® COMFORT laminated glass, supplied by two Climalit Partner glassworks of Saint-Gobain Glass, represents the ideal solution to ensure high performance in terms of light transmission and living comfort to all interior spaces. The different floors are designed with different shades depending on the function of the rooms, while the main façades are made up of the alternation of translucent windows and opaque gray, white and blue panels that refer to the art of the '900 - from Mondrian to Escher - and which take on different colors and transparencies depending on the intensity of the sunlight.
