COOL-LITE® SKN 165 & SKN 165 II, double silver solar control products with high performance can protect yourself from the heat while enjoying an optimum comfort in all seasons.

BENEFITS & APPLICATIONS

COOL-LITE^® SKN 165 (II) is a transmission-neutral glass with a slightly bluish reflective appearance. In double glazing (DGU) it blocks 66% of solar energy, while letting 61% of light going through* the glazing, leading the following benefits:

Energy saving, by reducing air-conditioning costs during sunny periods. In winter, it offers an exceptional performance of thermal insulation for greater comfort.
Increased daylight, all year round by making wider glazing possible.
Aesthetic with neutral colour tint and a subtle level of reflection.

With COOL-LITE^® SKN 165 (II), interior heats up less, making it ideal for use in façades or overhead glazing in residential and commercial buildings. It can be applied in a wide range of applications, in new build or renovation works, where high light transmission and a low g-value are required:

COOL-LITE^® SKN 165 (II) is also available on ORAÉ^® low-carbon glass, to combine performance and sustainability and provide the best of both embodied and operational carbon levels.

This product is covered by a verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and is Cradle to Cradle Certified^® V4.0 Bronze.

PROCESSING

ANNEALED: The product is available in Annealed version.
HEAT-TREATMENT: The product is available in To-be-tempered version (with suffix II); It is delivered in standard with EASYPRO^® temporary surface protection. To achieve its performance and aesthetics, the product must be tempered. It is compatible with Heat Soak Test.
EDGE DELETION: Edge deletion of the coating is compulsory prior to assembling.
INSULATED GLAZING UNIT: The product must be assembled into an insulated glazing unit (IGU); The coating must be positioned on the face 2 (inside the IGU).
LAMINATION: The product can be laminated, taking care to place the coating outside of the laminate (coating on face 4 of the laminated pane). Consult us for the list of coating validated in contact with the interlayer.
BENDING: The to-be-tempered version of the product (II) can be bent. Bending results depend on the process/technology used; trials should be done for validation.
ENAMELING: No common approval for the enameling of silver-based high-performance coatings.
Annealed and the to-be-tempered versions of the product offer similar performances and aesthetic with a good compatibility in outdoor reflection. Contact us for more details.
