The demand for Axis was LT 63% and G-value 0,31. The specification is based on COOL-LITE XTREME 70/33 II in TGU with PLANITHERM XN inner pane. For the lower sound reduction with 6 mm outer pane the middle pane is low iron. For the higher sound reduction with 8 mm outer pane both inner panes needed to be low iron to balance the 63% LT. Today we can use ECLAZ instead of DIAMANT to balance/increase the light transmission.

Axis is one of the first project where full spectral calculation of glass and inside shader was applied. The inner shader is alledgedly “Verosol Silver Screen”, giving a total g-value of the façade down towards 0,13. The shading system is automated to ensure its correct function

Axis HQ stand beautifully on the motorway through Lund, at the top of the hill that is Lund. The COOL-LITE XTREME 70/33 II goes well against the white vertical fins that sit between glasses. The fins are deep so at an angle the building looks white, and perpendicular it looks 70/33 dark. The only drawback is that a too light spandrel was chosen in my opinion. The COOL-LITE XTREME 70/33 II first pane is followed by enamel RAL 7038 (or so) on #4, RAL 7043 has turned out to be the better match.
