Named after its distinctive staircase on the north side, the Spine is located in the heart of Liverpool’s innovative Knowledge Quarter. The new headquarters of the well-known Royal College of Physicians represents the harbour city’s modern urban development and provides a strong contrast to the historic industrial architecture. The building is BREEAM Excellent certified and is one of the first in the UK to gain the international Well standard. Liverpool’s new flagship building is also groundbreaking for a new archetype of biophilic office buildings.

Fully glazed on all sides, the façade sets the highest standards for controlledlight transmission and energy values. With a light transmission of 50%, the selected COOL-LITE® XTREME 50/22 II ensures excellent light values for working and relaxing areas.
