The Rua da Saúde project, located in the heart of São Paulo, Brazil, stands as a remarkable example of modern and sustainable architecture. This multipurpose complex combines healthcare facilities with research and educational spaces, creating an integrated and dynamic hub for the local community.
At the core of the design is a striking glass structure composed of 1,750 triangular laminated glass panels, a feat of exceptional craftsmanship and engineering. COOL-LITE® ST 136 was chosen for its outstanding solar control properties and its processing flexibility, making it possible to realize such a bold architectural vision. The glass ensures abundant natural light while minimizing solar heat gain, delivering optimal thermal and visual comfort beneath the structure.
Recognized for its innovation and sustainable approach, the Rua da Saúde project received the first-ever Abravidro Award at Glass South America in 2024, winning in the category dedicated to architectural projects featuring glass. This prestigious recognition highlights the project’s role as a benchmark for modern, sustainable architecture in Brazil and beyond.
