| COOL-LITE® XTREME 70/33 (II) |
The COOL-LITE XTREME 70/33 in Triple Glass Units look super clear on this building. The 10 mm outer pane gives a flat reflection of the sky and the debated Munch museum in the backdrop gives a very dark façade as a contrast.
The big windows all have the glass doors of the balconies at 90 degrees angle. Light comes in from 2 directions making the glass so transparent that it looks like people are living in an aquarium. The building was awarded as Oslos finest of 2019 and won the Osl reward of architecture for 2020.
The technical solution that makes it possible to use such big and light glass towards the sun is the combination of solar control glass and inside shader with a full spectral calculation. The TEK 10 norm demanded g-value of the façade at 0,15. This meant a lot of dark glass or low-e glass combined with inside shaders. The technical solution here stands out in price and user friendliness.
