Description
Schneider Electric has taken a major step forward in reducing their energy footprint by making strides towards more sustainable construction. With a significant reorganisation of their presence in the Grenoble area, they aim to minimise travels between locations and foster a collaborative workplace culture.
One of these sites is the impressive IntenCity building, a true showcase of Schneider Electric's capabilities. With a strong focus on occupants’ well-being, digital energy management, and sustainable development, IntenCity establishes itself as a smart building.
Featuring an array of energy-efficient solutions including 4,000 m² of photovoltaic panels, electric batteries, and 2 wind turbines, the building has surpassed being energy-efficient to become a net-positive energy building. Schneider Electric's commitment to sustainability is exemplified through their choice of materials as they aim to attain the LEED “Platinum” certification.
At the heart of IntenCity is "le Bistro," a space filled with natural light and stunning mountain views. Schneider Electric has equipped this space with our range of smart windows, SageGlass, allowing employees to enjoy the view while efficiently controlling heat and light. "Le Bistro" has quickly become the favourite place for all employees, providing a pleasant ambiance for relaxation and rejuvenation.
