Description
Located in Medellín, Colombia, Cortezza Las Palmas seamlessly blends urban convenience with natural serenity. Designed by Sergio Gallon Villegas and developed by Terranum, the project offers 6,800 m² of modern office and retail space and proudly holds a LEED GOLD certification, underlining its strong commitment to sustainability and user comfort.
The building’s façade incorporates COOL-LITE® KNT 140 glass, selected for its exceptional solar control properties and neutral aesthetics. The glass was processed using PLANILUX® and assembled into insulated glazing units, ensuring both strength and performance.
This advanced glazing solution significantly reduces solar heat gain in Medellín’s tropical climate, minimizing cooling demands while maintaining optimal indoor comfort. At the same time, its high light transmission allows for naturally bright interiors, reducing reliance on artificial lighting and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
By combining energy efficiency, visual comfort, and modern aesthetics, Cortezza Las Palmas stands as a benchmark for sustainable architecture in the region. The project reflects how innovative design and advanced glazing can redefine urban spaces in harmony with the environment.
